Thanks for all the great comments. I have to elaborate about my five year-old, Olivia. I kept a journal of all the crazy things she said, and put lots of them in the book. About three editors rejected the book because they said, “Irene doesn’t know how to write in a child’s voice.” Well, I wasn’t writing. I was STEALING from my child’s voice. As any mother knows, kids are A LOT smarter than you think!
I really hope you all read my book and let me know your thoughts.
